I’m Michael, a Master Colorist, Master Stylist, and blowout specialist at primp. salon in Charlotte, NC with 16 years of experience. Originally from New York, I moved to Charlotte eight years ago bringing with me a creative background rooted in fashion — including work as a junior lingerie designer in Manhattan. I’ve further refined my craft alongside respected Redken educators Lauren Hagen, Chris Baran, and Danny Feldstead.

I specialize in blonding and signature blowouts, creating results that feel confident, balanced, and effortlessly wearable. A creative at heart, what I love most is helping my clients see the beauty I already see in them. My ideal clients are fun, upbeat, and open to a conversation about their look — that’s where the magic happens and where I can create something truly customized for you.

My advice: skip the drugstore shampoo and follow your stylist’s professional product recommendations — your hair’s health and longevity depend on it. My favorite products are the Kérastase Gloss Absolu Oil and Kérastase Nutritive line. Outside the salon, I’m a proud cat dad to four rescue cats and the owner of more than 90 pairs of shoes.
