I’m Katy, a stylist and makeup artist at primp. salon in Charlotte, NC with 15 years of experience specializing in bridal hair and makeup, special occasion looks, and precision cutting. In 2013, I was named Makeup Artist of the Year at the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) — a milestone that launched eight years in New York City working in film, editorial, and photoshoot production, with my work appearing in major publications and on New York Fashion Week runways. I’ve since returned to my hometown of Charlotte, bringing that editorial expertise back to the salon chair.

My top tip: use a gentle exfoliant twice a week and apply a scalp serum and hair oil overnight once a week for healthier, stronger hair. My favorite products are Kérastase Mousse Bouffant and Gloss Absolu Fizz Glaze Cream.
