Katy Albright is a stylist and makeup artist at primp. with over 15 years of experience creating elevated beauty looks that feel timeless, effortless, and confident. She began her career in Charlotte, where she quickly developed a passion for refined hair and makeup artistry grounded in both technique and personalization.

In 2013, Katy was honored with Makeup Artist of the Year at the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA)—a milestone that led her to New York City to pursue work in film, editorial, and photoshoot production. During her eight years in NYC, Katy collaborated with celebrity artists and top beauty brands, with her work appearing in major publications and backstage on New York Fashion Week runways.

After returning to her hometown of Charlotte, Katy brought her editorial expertise back into the salon environment, where she now specializes in luxury bridal and special event hair and makeup, along with custom haircutting, hair color, balayage, and keratin treatments. Her approach blends industry-level artistry with thoughtful consultation, ensuring each look feels polished, wearable, and true to the individual.

Outside of the salon, Katy’s greatest joy is raising her young son, who continues to be her biggest inspiration. Her goal for every guest is simple: to create personalized, timeless results that leave you feeling confident, radiant, and completely taken care of.
